Frequently asked questions

What is the Dress Code for the evening?

We kindly invite our guests to dress up for this special occasion. This evening is a celebration of an extraordinary accomplishment, and we would love for everyone’s attire to reflect the significance of graduation.

The setting is formal, though not black tie. We ask guests to choose polished, dressy attire. To maintain the elegance of the evening, jeans and other casual wear are not appropriate.

How many tickets can I buy for the banquet?

You can purchase up to SIX (6) tickets (including your graduate) for the evening banquet. If you need more, please indicate this during the Eventbrite ticket sales, and we will do our best to accommodate additional requests.

What do I do if we need more than 6 tickets for the banquet?

If you need more than 6 tickets for the evening banquet, please indicate this when purchasing your tickets on the Eventbrite page. We will do our best to accommodate your request and will notify you if additional tickets become available.

What if we want to make arrangements to sit with another family at our table?

The best way to ensure you’re seated together is to coordinate and purchase your tickets at the same time while reviewing the floor plan together. In the past, many families have successfully done this by being on the phone with one another while completing their ticket purchases. This helps make sure everyone gets the seats they want!

Should you not get to sit with who you want, don’t worry — there will be plenty of time to mingle and visit with friends and family before and after toasts and dinner.

What is a Conscious Rave (Graduates Only)?

A conscious rave is a high-energy, feel-good dance party where the vibe is all about music, movement, and connection. It’s a space to let loose, jump, and fully experience the beat — completely clear-headed. Without alcohol or substances in the mix, you get the full rush of the music, the lights, and the crowd, making every drop hit harder and every moment feel real. No alcohol will be sold at this event.

This portion of the evening is exclusively for graduates and their dates — no parents or other adults will be attending. All guests must have purchased a banquet ticket to participate. This is your time to celebrate, let loose, and have fun together in a safe, positive environment. Supervision will be present, provided by designated event supervisors, to ensure everyone stays safe while keeping the energy high and the experience unforgettable.

What will be provided at the conscious rave?

The conscious rave will feature plenty of photo opportunities and a live DJ to keep the energy high. To fuel the fun, an 11:00 PM snack will be served, followed by a sweet treat at midnight. Props will also be handed out to enhance the rave-like experience and make the night even more memorable!

When do Parents and other Adult Guests need to leave?

Parents and other adult guests are kindly asked to depart at 10:00 PM. An announcement will be made to clearly indicate the transition time.

After this point, the evening will continue as a graduates-only celebration. For those not interested in leaving the hotel, Thompsons Kitchen & Bar is located downstairs, or there are a variety of other nearby venues where parents can relax and socialize while the party for grads continues upstairs. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping create a special and memorable experience for the graduates.

Can I have a date or friend attend the Conscious Rave?

Only guests who have purchased a banquet ticket are allowed to attend the conscious rave. It is up to the family and graduate to decide if younger siblings will join for this portion of the evening. All attendees must be high school age — this is not a childcare event, and the focus is on the graduate and their enjoyment. If having a younger sibling tag along would take away from the graduate’s experience, please plan accordingly.

We are not responsible for monitoring attendees’ whereabouts or comings and goings. All guests will be required to wear a provided wristband to help ensure that only authorized attendees are at the event. Any minor wishing to leave the event prior to its conclusion must be signed out by a parent/guardian.

It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to sign the waiver accompanying ticket purchase for all minors in attendance.

Is alcohol being served?

No, this is an alcohol-free event. To keep the evening safe and enjoyable for everyone, alcohol is not permitted on the ballroom or event floor, and guests may not bring it with them. Anyone found drinking or causing a disruption due to intoxication will be asked to leave. Thank you for helping us make this celebration fun and memorable for all.

When can we buy CampOut Tickets?

CampOut tickets will be available once all event details are finalized. Be sure to check the website regularly for updates. We are hopeful that ticket information will be available in late March 2026

Can we get a hotel reservation at the Hyatt?

We have secured a discounted rate of 15% off the current daily rate at the Calgary Hyatt Regency hotel.  Please visit the Hyatt Regency Calgary website at Hyatt Regency Calgary and enter 105067 in the “Special Rates” field under Corporate or Group Code. You can call the hotel directly at 403-717-1234 and provide the code while making your reservation. This rate is available while supplies last
